Our Team

Hello! I am originally from Tel Aviv, Israel, and for the last twenty years, I have been living with my family in New York City. I hold a Master of Arts in Teacher Leadership, a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Anthropology, and a Teaching Certificate in ESL K-12. In addition, I am a certified children’s Yoga teacher and Mindfulness Leader. As a passionate and experienced teaching professional, with over 25 years of hands-on teaching experience, I am confident in my ability to teach Hebrew in a dynamic and engaging way, using movie-making, art, cooking programs, reality shows, and music as an integrated part of my curriculum. I believe in deriving lessons’ content from learners’ passions and areas of interest. I enjoy using Humor to make lessons fun. One of my students kept an “Andreea’s Funny Quotes” book and I would be happy to put you in touch with her as a personal recommendation:) In addition to being a full-time teacher, I am also an avid world traveler. I love meeting people from all over the world, making connections, and introducing them to Israel and its culture. In March 2022, my husband and I left NYC and relocated to a farm in Portugal, so these days I am also learning Portuguese. Life on the farm is very different than life in NYC and it definitely is peaceful while also exciting and challenging. However, I miss the daily connection with my students. I am very much looking forward to sharing my passion for the Hebrew language with you, teaching you to communicate in this ancient yet dynamic language, and discovering a fascinating culture.
