Dominique R.

LanguageBird Instructional Lead

I am Dominique Roberts, the Director of Curriculum and Instruction at LanguageBird, having begun my journey here as a Spanish Instructor back in 2020. I am originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina, where I was born into a multilingual, multicultural family, and now I live in Southern California with my husband.

I have been a language teacher of all levels since 2008 and a teacher trainer since 2012. I first came to the US in 2015 as a Fulbright Scholar to study and teach at Williams College in Massachusetts. Having fallen in love with intercultural education, I did a dual master’s degree in both Foreign Languages & Pedagogy and Languages, Literatures, and Cultures at the University of Delaware, where I became an adjunct professor of Spanish after graduation. I was fortunate enough to also pursue opportunities to teach and train teachers at the University of Granada in Spain, to interpret at the United Nations, and finally, to find a home here at LanguageBird.

One thing to know about me is that I have a deep love for music, nature, and literature. I especially enjoy connecting over these passions with our students and instructors, who come from all over the world!
