I’m from Massachusetts. I am the only Deaf person in my family. I grew up mainstreamed taking classes with hearing peers along with an sign language interpreter. I graduated with Bachelors of Science Degree in Criminal Justice in New York At Rochester Institute of Technology then returned to Massachusetts to graduate with a Paralegal Studies degree and now I am here teaching American Sign Language in Virginia Beach, VA. I currently teach ASL at Adult Learning Center for the past 6 years. And started my first 1st year here teaching on-site high school ASL classes. I am flexible, outgoing, easy to get along with and have a great sense of humor. I like to make people laugh and just enjoy life! I am looking forward to be part of the flock! Lets LEARN!!
Hiiii!! I’m Jessica Freeman from Massachusetts. I grew up mainstreamed in Massachusetts and graduated high school then went to RIT and graduated with Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice. I know my college degree is completely different from teaching ASL. But that’s alright! I enjoy teaching and moved to Chesapeake, Virginia from Massachusetts.
I’ve been teaching American Sign Language for 8 years now at Adult Learning Center for adults who are interested in learning ASL or parents who have Deaf babies and Deaf children.
I enjoy teaching adults and now this is my first year teaching high school hearing students!
I want to have the hearing community learn ASL and join the Deaf community by coming together.
I hope to look forward to meet all of you! Thank you for having me join here at LanguageBird and have a great rapport with one another. Thank you and bye!
