LanguageBird ASL Instructor

Hi, I am from Maryland and a Child of Deaf Adult known as CODA. I graduated from Towson University with my Bachelors of Science in Deaf Studies. Post graduation up until now I have worked with several agencies as a freelance interpreter. I have worked in several environments including education, community and medical interpreting. I have experience in Deaf education as a teacher’s assistant and substitute teacher. My goal is to empower the youth and create a classroom culture where students feel supported and capable of success.  I am planning to pursue a Masters degree in Social Work to advocate for the Deaf Community, Accessibility, Diversity and inclusion in the workplace through teaching, training and workshops. I look forward to sharing my experience growing up with Deaf parents, American Sign Language and Deaf culture.
