Hello, my name is Loni Friedmann. I’m originally from Sparks, Nevada. I was born hearing until my mother discovered I become profoundly deaf at thirteen months old. From there, I have been a native signer. I found my deaf identity when I moved to California for college and met a lot of deaf people like me. After a few years and a bachelor’s degree, I was inspired to teach the hearing population American Sign Language so we can communicate with one another.
I have a big passion when it comes to Deaf Education and the rights. I enjoy teaching people sign language and seeing them grow from the rich language experience and being involved with the Deaf community!
Aside from that, I enjoy hiking, painting, traveling, relaxing at the beach, and taking my pups for adventures!
