Bonjour! My name is Lynette and I am a US native who’s been teaching French across a variety of settings for 3 years. My love for French started early with my father exposing me to the language at a young age where he taught me French through songs and French cuisine. I’ve had the opportunity to learn French both immersively by living in Quebec and France as a young adult, as well as academically through college level classes. While pursuing my degree in French at Brigham Young University, I had the opportunity to teach French at the college level for 2 years. I then went on to teach in public schools for a year, and now I’m looking to further my reach as a French educator where I can help even more people learn to love this beautiful language and culture! My teaching philosophy is centered on helping students make meaningful connections to a language and culture that is different from their own through engaging lessons, fun speaking activities, and culture centered objectives. As a teacher I am encouraging, dedicated, and always looking to make learning French fun. The French language has enriched my life in so many ways, and I can’t wait to share my expertise and help enrich your life too!
