Hello, I am from all over the United States. Currently I am living in Fort Myers, Florida. I am holding an MA in Deaf Education, with concentration in American Sign Language, from California State University in Northridge, California. I am also an avid member of the American Sign Language Teachers Association (ASLTA). I have taught American Sign Language classes for over 18 years in both face-to-face and online formats. Outside of the office and classroom I like to focus on home renovation projects, spending time with my dogs, and having fun, out and about with my fiancée. I am a Deaf native signer, fluent in ASL, so I enjoy practicing my language skills with others over tea or, my favorite, a Mountain Dew. Be warned, if you challenge me with Star Wars trivia, I will win! I love to branch out and meet people. My philosophy is that it’s best for the students to have all the “real-world” practice they can get, before going out into the career field. I have tons of tips and secrets. This is not robot learning (only watching signed vocabulary). Curious? Come join a class! It’s fully interactive and fun!
