Hi! My name is Raquel, I am originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina, and I have been living in Los Angeles for the past 19 years. I also lived in Israel for two years when I was a teen, and I learnt how to speak Hebrew. The experience of living in totally different countries, in addition to several trips around the world that I was fortunate to make, gave me a huge appreciation for the beauty that diversity and cultures bring to our lives, and how to embrace different perspectives and ways of living. I have been lucky to become a Spanish teacher when I came to United States, and share my passion for my language and culture, as well as learn from my students about the culture in Los Angeles and a lot more about my own diverse Hispanic world.
In addition to my love for teaching Spanish, I studied biology in Argentina, and has always have a huge passion for nature and our environment. Among others, we have at home solar panels, a compost pile with red worms, a vegetable garden and several trees, and obviously we try to follow the reduce-reuse and recycle rules as much as possible. If you are into the environment, we could talk for hours for sure. Lastly, I have to share that we just adopted a beautiful energetic dog from a shelter and we are in love. Looking forward to learning together.
