Hello! I am a Korean studies specialist with depth and breadth of experience teaching Korean language, literature, and culture. Helping students to enjoy learning a foreign language and culture is a passion of mine, one that I have brought to all of my work. I received my Ph.D. and M.A. in Korean Studies from the University of Minnesota. I also earned my M.A. degree in East Asian Studies from Duke University and a Master of International Studies from Yonsei University. I am an engaging and dynamic teacher who has worked with diverse student populations ranging from young children (elementary school) to high school/college students to graduate students and adult professionals. I highly value education and that is why it is very important for me to make sure that my students enjoy learning and achieve their educational goals. I live in Minneapolis, Minnesota with my husband and daughter. We really enjoy traveling together! We recently visited Seoul, Busan, and Gyeongju, eating lots of jokbal and galbi. I am thrilled that you may join this wonderful journey of learning Korean, it will open so many doors of adventure for you and I am super excited to be part of your journey!
