你好! I’m Yaxi, a native Chinese speaker. I earned my Chinese Pedagogy degree from Columbia University, and I teach Chinese language courses at all levels. Currently, I am teaching at Columbia University and City College of New York.
I believe that understanding students’ learning motivations is very helpful in education. I like to talk to students to find out their interests and remain sensitive to their unique needs.
I have been teaching Chinese for seven years and still feel as excited and enthusiastic as on the first day of my teaching career. Teaching Chinese makes me feel accomplished and fulfilled. When students are satisfied with my answers and tell me that they have learned from my classes, I know I chose the right job.
