Hello! My name is Elisabeth, and I’m excited to help you on your German-learning journey!
My language journey began as a child, when I was raised bilingually in English and German because of my German heritage. As an adult, I had the opportunity to spend a year and a half living in Germany, as well as several summers abroad, which further deepened my interest in the German language and culture. I went on to study German as an undergraduate and recently graduated with my master’s degree in Second Language Teaching with an emphasis in German. For the past four and a half years, I have taught German at the university level, working with students from a variety of backgrounds and proficiency levels.
I’m passionate about making German learning engaging, motivating, and practical. I especially value speaking practice and cultural learning as essential parts of language development. My goal is to help students build confidence, develop real-world communication skills, and connect with the German language and culture in meaningful ways.
