Hello! My name is Joy, and I am originally from Cork, Ireland. I was fortunate to travel extensively in my twenties and had the opportunity to study and work in Germany for five years. I now live in Washington State with my husband and our two young children. I absolutely adore the German language and was able to visit my old stomping grounds in the summer of 2025. I love connecting with people from different cultures and strongly believe that learning a language opens the door to new worlds and opportunities. Speaking a second language has opened many doors for me throughout my life, and I have never regretted the time and effort I invested in learning it.
I am a professional teacher who is easygoing, patient, and fun. I look forward to sharing my love of the German language with you, helping you build confidence and fluency, and, most importantly, making sure you enjoy every step of the learning process.
