I was born and raised in the city of Tucumán, in northwest Argentina. I received my Bachelor’s degree in Biology from the Universidad Nacional de Tucumán. As a biology student, I had the chance to travel and work with birds in a state park near the Grand Canyon in Arizona. Not only was I overwhelmed by the beauty of the park, but I was also overwhelmed by my first experience being immersed in a language I didn’t quite understand. It was a new world to me, and I loved it! Learning a new language has enriched my life in so many ways.
I lived in Madison, Wisconsin, for 13 years, where I had a variety of jobs that exposed me to many different people and experiences. I worked in restaurants, community health centers, elementary, middle, and high schools, and as a translator for the Madison Metropolitan School District. I taught Spanish and Biology (in Spanish) in several schools and volunteered as a private tutor in community centers.
I am currently living in my hometown, Tucumán, where I work as an English and Spanish instructor.
In my free time, I work in my vegetable garden, ride my bike, and experiment in my kitchen (I love to bake!). My experience learning English was so positive that, as a language instructor, I have made it my goal to make learning Spanish an equally fun and engaging experience.
