How do I get high school credit?
If you have not met your high school graduation requirements for world language, we recommend you talk to your school counselor and let them know you would like to take a LanguageBird® course. Most college-prep high schools require 2 years of world language. Some high schools will have you fill out a concurrent enrollment form or ask you to send a transcript once your LanguageBird® course is complete. We are happy to work with your high school administrator and counselors!

COURSES FOR CREDIT
Accredited high school Arabic courses with a private instructor at your pace and convenience.
Students build upon and increase listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills in the target language. Students develop their Arabic proficiency through extensive, spontaneous interaction with a native speaker in the language.
Students develop cultural awareness and become prepared to encounter real life situations outside of the classroom through discussions of cultural customs and behavior, videos, Internet research and by reading authentic materials written in the target language.
TUTORING & TEST PREP
Students receive private, one-to-one, live tutoring sessions geared toward reiterating concepts covered in their school classroom.
Tutors address any difficulties students may be having and help with homework and test preparation. Regularly scheduled lessons are recommended, rather than just for “emergency” situations. It’s best if the student consistently builds skills as well as a personal relationship with their tutor.
The lessons can also be geared toward helping students prepare for exams, including but not limited to: SAT Subject Tests, AP and fluency exams.
This is live, one-to-one communicative Arabic lessons to cover elementary and intermediate grammatical structures of the Arabic language, as well as vocabulary and cultural situations with a native speaker.
These lessons are designed to help students develop and mature foundational communicative skills to prepare them for everyday conversations in Arabic. In addition, the student will master their fluency through the stylized nature of the course. Conversation lessons are open to students of all ages.

Our approach to education is personal, dynamic.
Innovative learning activities, unique assessments, and student directed projects engage students. Instructors take notes during each session to share with students and evaluate students over time based on personal progress. We don’t believe in timed exams. We do believe in giving students the opportunity to present what they have learned in a format and environment in which they are comfortable. Final projects are presented to the instructor during the final session of the course along with any required written components.
Why Choose an Online High School Language Program?
Enrolling your student in a LanguageBird course offers greater freedom and flexibility for their learning than what is typically found in a traditional brick-and-mortar high school environment. All of our faculty are experienced instructors in the field of education, not just native speakers. Our trained, experienced teachers love to work with high school students. Students meet with the same teacher building a relationship and skills. Students use our courses to make more room in their daily school schedule, to get ahead, make-up a class or study a language not offered at their school.

Online Arabic Classes Give Students Advantages Unlike Traditional Classrooms
Many linguistic experts agree that Arabic is the most difficult language to learn for American high school students, as it has nothing in common with English. As a result, native English speakers will face a number of challenges in learning Arabic. There are also eight different dialects of Mesopotamian Arabic spoken throughout Cyprus, Syria, Jordan, Lebanon and Palestine. Then there are Levantine Arabic dialects that contain a unique stress pattern most others don’t. These factors can make learning Arabic very challenging. However, when high school students learn Arabic online from a company like LanguageBird that offers one-on-one customized lessons, the learning process becomes significantly easier.
Students Get One-on-One Attention with Online Arabic Classes
The average American public school has a student/teacher ratio of 30-to-1. Since Arabic is already considered a difficult language to learn, and people all learn differently, at varying paces, teachers in the public school system simply lack the resources to teach Arabic in a way that benefits all students. However, when parents enroll students in online Arabic classes that offer face-to-face real-time instruction, they get that personal attention that allows certified teachers to customize lessons according to the individual student’s learning requirements. This is highly valuable because it increases the student’s ability to not only earn the credits to graduate, but to also actually learn the language so they can confidently converse with native speakers.
Learn Arabic Online to Prepare for Family Trips
According to the US Census, there are more than 1.7 million Arabic Americans in the country. While this number makes up a small percentage of the total population, it is massive in that it presents a real need for kids to learn their native tongue so they can make connections with the older generations. If you and your spouse are planning a trip to Lebanon so your children can meet their grandparents and other family members, then investing in a program that will help them learn Arabic online not only prepares them to master the language within the right dialect, but if the program is accredited, they also earn credits for graduation.
In addition, when your child takes classes to learn Arabic online from providers like LanguageBird, the teacher is a certified native speaker that can add cultural elements into the language lessons. This way your child learns Arabic within a customized context that also teaches them about their culture’s traditions, history, art, and geography. This approach offers a plethora of value because students are able to learn Arabic online while connecting the language to their own culture. This will facilitate more meaningful connections your child can make when they travel to your home country through conversations with family and strangers. In addition, they will gain an educated perspective on your country’s culture and walk away with a deeper appreciation of their experience than they would otherwise.
Invest in online Arabic classes today and set your child on the right path towards mastering the language. When they learn Arabic online from a certified program that reinforces cultural values and taps into the national identity behind the target dialect, the learning experience is enriched unlike anything accessible on physical campuses.

An Online Arabic Tutor Lets Students Learn on their Time.
The life of high school students is actually a full-time job. Between attending classes, studying, participating in sports, partaking in other extra curricular activities like playing an instrument or participating on the debate team, and doing volunteer work (many do), there are also family obligations that play into life. This means a window of time to meet with an online Arabic tutor can be minimal, and this is why high school students need an online Arabic tutor who will teach them, on their time, whether that is at 6AM, 10PM or on weekends. When you invest in a high-quality online Arabic tutor, you get the freedom of learning at your convenience.
