An Unparalleled Online Experience for All Language Learners
LanguageBird gives middle school students the opportunity to master world languages online, at their own pace, and on their own time.
The LanguageBird Middle School Core Program, offering French, German, Italian, and Spanish instruction, is designed so students who complete two years of middle school language are prepared to enter high school with a strong foundation in their chosen language.
The project-based curriculum used for the Middle School Courses covers foundational concepts and content that will prepare students for our High School Programs. Instruction is paced more slowly and includes content and activities appropriate for middle school learners.
The full year Middle School 1 and full year Middle School 2 are preparatory courses intended to provide the student with a basic foundation in the language, so they are more confident and better able to excel in the first year of their high school language course. It is not a substitution for High School language classes, but many schools offer the option to test out of lower-level language courses if students already know the information!
Transcripts are provided upon request and may be sent to middle schools, high schools, and colleges. We are accredited by WASC and Cognia.
