Christina K

German Instructor

Guten Tag! My name is Christina, and I was born and raised in Germany. I am currently living in Texas, USA. I have been passionate about teaching and tutoring since graduating from high school and have worked with students of all ages across a wide range of subjects. While I specialize in teaching German, I also have extensive experience teaching English, Latin, and various STEM subjects.

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and Chemistry from St. Mary’s University in Texas and a Doctorate in Human Medicine (M.D.) from Paracelsus Medical School in Nürnberg, Germany. I am also a licensed physician in Germany. During my undergraduate studies, I served as the official German tutor at my university and continued tutoring throughout medical school. My strong academic background allows me to explain even complex concepts in a clear, structured, and approachable way.

As a teacher, I am extremely patient, encouraging, and adaptable. I truly enjoy meeting students where they are and tailoring each lesson to their individual goals, learning style, and pace—whether they are beginners or advanced learners.

For me, language learning goes beyond vocabulary and grammar. I enjoy integrating elements of German culture, traditions, holidays, and cuisine to give students a deeper and more authentic learning experience.

Outside the classroom, I love traveling, discovering new cultures (especially through food), gardening, cooking, and playing Pokémon Go. I am fluent in German and English and studied Latin for nine years, which gives me a strong foundation in language structure and learning.

I look forward to helping you build confidence in German while making the learning process effective, engaging, and enjoyable!
