Hello! My name is Joy, and I’m originally from Cork, Ireland. I was fortunate to travel widely in my twenties and spent five wonderful years studying and working in Germany. These days, I live in Washington State with my husband and our two young children—and we’re currently building our forever home!

I absolutely adore the German language and had the joy of revisiting my old stomping grounds this past August (2025). Connecting with people from different cultures has always been a passion of mine, and I truly believe that language is the key to unlocking new worlds and opportunities. Learning a second language opened countless doors for me, and I’ve never regretted the effort and dedication it took to become fluent.

As a teacher, I’m professional, easygoing, patient, and fun. My goal is to help you speak German confidently and fluently—while making sure you enjoy every step of the learning journey. I can’t wait to share my love for the German language and culture with you!
