Hello! My name is Ivan, and I am excited to welcome your students to the world of the Russian language and culture. I am a native Russian speaker with a Master’s degree in Russian Philology and Education, as well as more than ten years of experience teaching Russian at both universities and specialized language training centers in the United States.

Throughout my career, I have worked with students at all levels—from complete beginners to advanced speakers—through both private and group instruction. I have also developed customized curricula to meet the unique needs and interests of each learner.

My goal as a teacher is to make language learning dynamic, engaging, and meaningful. I focus on helping students actively use Russian in real-life contexts while building a strong foundation in grammar, vocabulary, and cultural understanding. Over the years, I have also helped many students successfully prepare for proficiency exams such as the OPI and DLPT.

In addition to my background in language teaching, I hold a Master’s degree in Art History. Because of this, I enjoy integrating Russian art, history, and culture into my lessons, allowing students not only to learn the language but also to discover the rich cultural world behind it.
