Flora B.
Hello! My name is Flora, and I was born and raised in Pau, in the beautiful south of France. I have always loved languages and discovering new cultures, which led me to a career in language teaching.
I completed a Bachelor’s degree in English in France, with a minor in French as a Second Language, and later lived and worked in England for two years to perfect my English and discover British culture. In 2015, I spent a full year at a private university in Ohio, where I worked as a Teaching Assistant in the French department. I then moved to Texas and earned my Master’s degree in French from the University of North Texas, graduating in 2017.
Throughout my graduate studies, I worked as a Teaching Assistant and Teaching Fellow, and after graduating, I became an Adjunct Instructor. I am currently teaching French to undergraduate students at the University of North Texas, where I especially enjoy getting to know my students, creating a safe, supportive, and fun learning environment, and helping them build confidence as they communicate in French.
I now live in Texas with my husband and our cats. Outside of teaching, I love traveling, trying new restaurants, and learning languages. I look forward to sharing my passion for the French language and culture with my students and making learning both engaging and enjoyable!
