Lucy J.
Hello! My name is Lucy, and I am from Busan, South Korea. I earned a dual degree in Japanese Language and Business Administration in South Korea and obtained a master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Padua in Italy. After passing the N1 Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT), I went to Japan as an exchange student for a year, attending an academic program in lifelong education.
I have taught Korean language at the University of Cambridge in England to both students and faculty for three years. I have also taught at Ca’ Foscari University and at the King Sejong Institute of Venice, Italy, for four years. Along the way, I have also been teaching Korean and Japanese privately at all levels, and I regularly do translation work.
I love K-Dramas and K-Pop as well as J-Pop and Anime, and I like to incorporate them into my classes, as they are a fun and effective way to learn languages. I am passionate about teaching and very patient with my students. I have lived in five different countries so far, which has helped me appreciate different cultures, people, and languages, making me very open-minded. I can’t wait to meet and get to know you!
