Gloria P.
你好 (nǐ hǎo), 我的名字是張文瑜 (wǒ de míngzi shì Zhāng Wényú)。
Hello, my name is Gloria. I am an experienced and passionate educator specializing in Chinese, mathematics, and music. Originally from Taiwan, I now reside in Oklahoma City, where I have been teaching Mandarin Chinese to public school students for the past 18 years. With over 25 years of teaching experience, I bring a unique blend of academic rigor and cultural insight to every lesson.
I hold a bachelor’s degree in Anthropology from National Taiwan University and a degree in Computer Science earned in the United States. My professional background also includes work as a database application specialist at the State of Tennessee Attorney General’s Office. I am certified to teach Chinese and mathematics by the Oklahoma State Board of Education.
My interdisciplinary teaching style combines analytical thinking, artistic expression, and cultural appreciation, creating a rich and engaging learning experience for my students. As a lifelong traveler and cultural enthusiast, I have visited more than 40 U.S. states and 24 countries worldwide. These journeys have deepened my understanding of different cultures and languages, which I enthusiastically incorporate into my teaching.
I believe education is not just about learning facts but about making meaningful, positive differences in people’s lives. I invite you to join me on a journey of Chinese language and cultural discovery. I cannot wait to share my love of the Chinese language and heritage with you.
