Konnichiwa! (Hi!) I was born and raised in Sapporo, Japan. I have received 4-year college diploma in Japan and MA degree from the University of Oregon. I am currently living in Portland, Oregon. I have more than 25 years of experience teaching English and Japanese both online and in classroom settings. I am very skillful and creative when making activities and drills to improve conversation skills, to increase vocabulary and to learn grammar items, all according to the abilities, skills and interests of students. I have taught Japanese focuses such as reading, writing, listening, speaking, grammar, and situational conversations (e.g. restaurant, shopping, travel). In class, we also discuss topics such as Japanese dramas, anime, movies, food and travel. I am looking forward to having opportunities to share with you Japanese culture and customs through teaching Japanese language. Learning another language is challenging but it is also a wonderful way to explore the world. Let’s start the journey together!
