Hello, my name is Rachel. I was born and raised on Long Island, New York. I was born deaf and grew up mainstreamed. I went to Rochester Institute of Technology and received my Bachelor of Science in Clinical Psychology. While I was busy going to classes, I also was involved in the sorority, Sigma Sigma Sigma, as the secretary and president. Not just that, I also was an English tutor for college students. I decided to continue my education by attaining my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Gallaudet University. I have worked in many different settings: An outpatient program for people who struggled with drug and alcohol issues, recidivism, mental health, and most recently in the school environment. In my spare time, I enjoy watching movies, reading biographies, camping and hanging out with my partner and our furkids. I am so excited to be joining the flock and am looking forward to working with you all on your American Sign Language skills!
