I am from the United States and have lived in and traveled to several different Francophone countries. I spend several months in France each year, and have been lucky enough to travel all throughout Europe. I have been studying the French language, literature, and culture for most of my life, and studied at the Sorbonne in Paris. This year I finished my Master’s Thesis on French literature of the nineteenth century, and have worked on several English translations of French literary works.
I have six years of teaching experience with students of all ages, from toddlers to adults, and love sharing new languages and cultures. I have taught English in Europe and have been teaching French in the US for over three years. Learning a language is such a useful and rewarding experience, and I love sharing that with my students! As Charlemagne once said, « Avoir une autre langue, c’est posséder une deuxième âme ». (To have another language is to have a second soul.
